Location: Fairfax, VA
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Operations to join our client’s team in Fairfax, VA. The Director of Operations will oversee all aspects of the company’s operational activities, including strategic planning, resource management, and process improvement initiatives. This role requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to drive operational excellence to support the company’s growth and success.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency, productivity, and profitability.
- Lead and manage cross-functional teams to achieve operational goals and objectives.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve operational performance.
- Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to streamline operations and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic plans to support business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for operational expenses.
- Monitor industry trends and best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and competitive advantage.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee development within the operations team.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in a senior leadership role overseeing operations, preferably in the Environmental (clean technologies, renewable energy, waste recycling, nature and landscape protection) sector.
- Proven track record of successfully implementing operational strategies and driving process improvements.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into action.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and budget management.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000 a year.
