Director of Pharmacy Operations

Job Description

Location: Jacksonville, FL (Regional Oversight | Travel Required)

We are seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations across multiple Florida locations. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, team development, and financial stewardship within assigned pharmacy sites.

This position provides oversight of pharmacy managers and clinical teams while partnering with senior operations leadership to maintain strong service standards and performance outcomes.

The ideal candidate is a licensed pharmacist with progressive leadership experience, strong operational oversight skills, and a track record of managing teams within a regulated pharmacy environment. You bring sound judgment, financial awareness, and the ability to balance clinical quality with operational execution.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight to assigned pharmacy locations
• Ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation standards
• Supervise pharmacy management teams and support staff development
• Establish staffing models and monitor workload distribution
• Oversee departmental budgets, purchasing controls, and cost management
• Monitor operational performance metrics and implement process improvements
• Ensure appropriate medication handling, documentation, and quality standards
• Partner with executive leadership on strategic planning initiatives
• Support collaboration across operational, reimbursement, and administrative departments
• Maintain consistent pharmacy coverage and oversight protocols

Qualifications:

• Active and unrestricted Florida Pharmacist license required
• Graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy
• Minimum 5 years of pharmacy management experience
• Minimum 5 years of direct people leadership experience
• Experience overseeing operational budgets and financial performance
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy compliance standards
• Experience managing purchasing and inventory controls
• Ability to travel regionally as needed
• Strong leadership and executive communication skills

• Full-time leadership role
• Regional oversight responsibilities
• Up to 75% Travel required within Florida

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is $140,000 – $190,000 annually (approximately $67.31 – $91.35 per hour), based on experience. Compensation is determined by leadership scope, operational background, and market alignment.

Interview Process:
