Job Description
Location: Billings, MT (Greater Montana Area)
We are seeking a Surgical Technician to support surgical procedures within a hospital-based operating room environment. This role is responsible for preparing surgical suites, maintaining sterile conditions, and assisting the surgical team throughout procedures to ensure safe and efficient patient care.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms with necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment prior to procedures
- Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical procedures to ensure patient safety
- Assist surgeons by anticipating needs and passing instruments during procedures
- Support circulating nurses and other members of the surgical team
- Handle and manage surgical specimens in accordance with protocol
- Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly cleaned, stored, and functioning
- Maintain familiarity with a wide range of surgical procedures and required instrumentation
- Follow infection prevention and safety guidelines at all times
- Assist with room turnover to maintain efficient surgical scheduling
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs
- Document relevant procedural information as required
- Collaborate with clinical staff to support smooth workflow and patient care
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program required
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required upon hire
- Prior Operating Room experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively within a team-based clinical setting
Schedule
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Day, evening, and variable shifts based on department needs
- Onsite hospital setting
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $55,000 – $75,000 annually ($26.00 – $36.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Additional shift differentials and incentive opportunities may be available.
