Job Description
Location: Philadelphia, PA (Greater Metro Area)
We are seeking a Clinical Quality Coordinator to support hospital quality, patient safety, and performance improvement initiatives. This role is responsible for tracking clinical quality data, supporting regulatory readiness, preparing reports, and helping ensure the organization has accurate information to guide clinical and operational decisions.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented healthcare professional with experience in quality reporting, patient safety, or performance improvement who understands how data, documentation, and compliance work together to support better patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Submit, abstract, and validate clinical quality data for CMS reporting programs
- Track and analyze quality indicators including readmissions, mortality, patient safety events, and core measures
- Support survey readiness activities for Joint Commission, CMS, and state regulatory reviews
- Assist with root cause analysis, failure mode analysis, and corrective action planning for adverse events
- Prepare quality dashboards, scorecards, and reports for department and leadership review
- Support peer review processes and medical staff quality committee activities
- Educate clinical staff on quality measures, documentation standards, and evidence-based protocols
- Participate in process improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
- Monitor and report hospital-acquired condition data, including CLABSI, CAUTI, SSI, falls, and related metrics
- Collaborate with clinical leaders to identify quality trends and improvement opportunities
- Maintain accurate records to support compliance, reporting, and audit readiness
- Assist with quality improvement initiatives that support patient safety and clinical outcomes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Public Health, or related clinical field required
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare quality, patient safety, or performance improvement required
- Knowledge of CMS quality reporting programs, Joint Commission standards, and healthcare quality metrics
- CPHQ certification preferred
- Experience with quality data abstraction tools, clinical registries, or reporting platforms preferred
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and data reporting
- Ability to communicate quality findings clearly to clinical and operational teams
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation accuracy

- Standard full-time hours per pay period
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $62,000 – $78,000 annually ($29.81 – $37.50 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
