  • Analyze charge lag reports and work with department managers to reduce days to bill
  • Develop and maintain charge capture dashboards to track department-level performance and trends
  • Educate clinical and administrative staff on proper charge entry workflows and documentation requirements
  • Collaborate with coding, compliance, and HIM teams to ensure charge accuracy aligns with coding guidelines
  • Support CDM maintenance activities including new charge code requests, annual updates, and pricing reviews
  • Assist with internal and external audit preparation related to charge integrity and billing compliance
  • Conduct focused charge capture reviews for high-revenue departments including surgical services, infusion, imaging, and ED
  • Monitor charge correction volumes and identify patterns that indicate systematic workflow issues
  • Validate that new service lines, procedures, and equipment additions have proper charge capture workflows established
  • Track and report on charge capture recovery metrics including identified revenue and process improvement outcomes
  • Support EHR charge capture workflow configuration and testing for system updates and new module implementations
  • Maintain knowledge of CMS billing regulations, OPPS, and facility-specific charge capture requirements

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree required; bachelor’s in healthcare administration, finance, or HIM preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in charge capture, revenue integrity, or healthcare billing analysis
  • Familiarity with CPT, HCPCS, revenue codes, and hospital billing workflows
  • Experience with EHR charge capture modules and reporting tools
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with large data sets
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication abilities
  • Knowledge of CDM structure, pricing methodologies, and charge code governance
  • CPC or CCS certification preferred

Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • Standard business hours
  • Standard full-time hours per pay period

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $52,000 – $65,000 annually ($25.00 – $31.25 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
