Job Description
Location: Remote (US-based)
We are seeking a Healthcare Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to build the dashboards and analytics that turn clinical, claims, financial, and operational data into strategic decisions. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity available fully remote within the United States.
This role is best aligned for an analyst who already knows healthcare data and does not need to be taught what a denial code means or why a HEDIS measure moved. You will own reporting end to end: pulling from source systems, validating what you find, and building the visualizations that leadership actually uses. The ideal candidate writes strong SQL, has opinions about dashboard design, and can sit with a clinical or operations stakeholder to translate a vague question into a defined metric.
Responsibilities:
- Design interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik
- Extract and transform data from EHR systems and claims databases using SQL and ETL processes
- Analyze HEDIS measures, CMS Star Ratings, and readmission rates to surface performance trends
- Build financial and operational reporting on cost per member, utilization, and revenue cycle performance
- Partner with clinical and operational stakeholders to define reporting requirements and scope analytical solutions
- Develop and maintain data dictionaries, report documentation, and data governance standards
- Validate data integrity across source systems and resolve discrepancies in clinical, claims, and financial datasets
- Support population health analytics including risk stratification, care gap identification, and chronic disease management
- Automate recurring reports and data feeds to reduce manual processing and improve turnaround
- Present findings and recommendations to non-technical audiences including operations and executive leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Health Informatics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare analytics, business intelligence, or data analysis required
- Proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases and data warehouses required
- Hands-on experience with a major BI platform such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Qlik required
- Working knowledge of healthcare data structures including claims data, EHR data, and clinical quality measures
- Familiarity with HEDIS, CMS Star Ratings, and value-based care performance metrics preferred
- Experience with Python, R, or similar scripting for data manipulation preferred
- Strong stakeholder communication and data storytelling skills, with the ability to explain technical findings to clinical and operational audiences
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Fully remote within the United States
- Standard business hours, Monday through Friday
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $85,000 – $110,000 annually ($40.87 – $52.88 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
Interview Process:
Selected candidates will participate in a multi-step interview process, including an initial screening with TalentLNX followed by interviews with department leadership.
Equal Opportunity Employer: TalentLNX is committed to equal employment opportunity and a diverse, inclusive workforce.
