Job Description
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Onsite)
We are hiring for a HEDIS Quality Improvement Coordinator with a managed care organization located in Minneapolis, MN. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.
This position is a strong fit for someone with a background in clinical quality, managed care, or health plan operations who understands how HEDIS measures translate to member outcomes and organizational performance scores. Your work directly impacts health plan quality ratings and value-based contract performance.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate HEDIS medical record collection, abstraction, and NCQA-compliant data submission activities
- Analyze HEDIS measure performance data to identify gaps, trends, and population-specific opportunities
- Develop member outreach strategies to close care gaps in preventive, chronic, and behavioral health
- Collaborate with provider relations and network teams to engage physician practices in gap closure
- Support CMS Star Ratings reporting for Part C and Part D quality measures
- Coordinate supplemental data collection and ensure accurate submission of medical record and administrative data
- Prepare quality performance reports and dashboards for stakeholders and accreditation submissions
- Support NCQA Health Plan Accreditation through documentation, surveys, and corrective action plans
- Monitor interim measure rates throughout measurement year and escalate performance concerns to leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience in HEDIS, quality improvement, or managed care quality operations
- Working knowledge of NCQA HEDIS technical specifications and CMS Star Ratings methodology
- Experience with medical record abstraction, supplemental data processes, and quality reporting systems
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Access, or similar tools for data tracking and reporting
- Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes as they relate to HEDIS measure definitions
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Standard business hours
- Standard full-time hours per pay period
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $55,000 – $75,000 annually ($26.44 – $36.06 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
