  • Obtain prior authorizations from commercial and government payers for medications and infusion-related supplies
  • Enter and verify physician orders within the pharmacy management system for pharmacist review
  • Coordinate medication delivery scheduling with nursing and logistics teams
  • Communicate with patients, caregivers, providers, and referral sources regarding therapy updates and order status
  • Process refill requests and maintain authorization renewals to support uninterrupted therapy
  • Verify patient demographics, clinical documentation, and insurance eligibility within pharmacy systems
  • Support billing and reimbursement workflows by ensuring accurate coding and documentation
  • Maintain compliance with pharmacy regulations, payer requirements, and organizational standards
  • Resolve claim issues, missing documentation, and therapy coordination concerns

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Active Ohio Board of Pharmacy registered pharmacy technician credential required
  • Certified Pharmacy Technician credential preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in home infusion, specialty, or hospital pharmacy required
  • Working knowledge of infusion therapies including IV antibiotics, TPN, hydration therapy, pain management, and biologics preferred
  • Familiarity with insurance verification, prior authorization workflows, and specialty pharmacy benefits required
  • Experience with pharmacy management systems such as Brightree, HBS, or comparable infusion platforms preferred
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • On-site in Columbus, OH
  • Monday through Friday, standard business hours
  • Standard full-time schedule of 40 hours per week

Salary Range:

The salary range for this position is approximately $44,000 – $54,000 annually ($21.15 – $25.96 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
