Location: Nashville, TN

We are seeking a Clinical Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across a multi-site ambulatory practice environment. This role is responsible for managing clinical workflows, supporting staff performance, improving patient access, and partnering with physicians and leadership to strengthen operational efficiency and care delivery.

This position is ideal for a healthcare operations leader with strong ambulatory practice experience who can manage teams, improve workflows, track performance metrics, and support clinical excellence across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct clinical operations across practice locations, including patient flow, scheduling, rooming, and provider template management
  • Recruit, onboard, supervise, and retain clinical and administrative support staff
  • Conduct performance evaluations, coaching conversations, and staff development planning
  • Oversee patient access workflows including check-in, insurance verification, referrals, and prior authorizations
  • Serve as an operational liaison between physicians, practice leaders, and frontline teams
  • Facilitate team huddles, workflow reviews, and performance improvement initiatives
  • Track and report key performance indicators including productivity, patient satisfaction, no-shows, and turnover
  • Lead compliance efforts related to HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and accreditation requirements
  • Manage clinical inventory, supply levels, and reconciliation processes across locations
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA, or similar frameworks
  • Partner with IT and clinical teams on EHR optimization, templates, system configuration, and staff training
  • Support value-based care initiatives, quality reporting, and care gap closure efforts

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical operations experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supervising clinical or administrative staff required
  • Experience managing multi-site physician practice or ambulatory clinic operations strongly preferred
  • Strong knowledge of staffing, compliance, workflow management, and performance metrics
  • Experience with EHR platforms such as Epic, athenahealth, Modernizing Medicine, or similar systems preferred
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, CLIA, and applicable healthcare regulatory standards
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, PDSA, or other process improvement frameworks preferred
  • Familiarity with value-based care programs, MIPS, HEDIS, or care gap closure preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Monday through Friday standard business hours
  • Travel between Nashville-area practice locations may be required
  • Flexibility may be needed based on operational demands

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $85,000 – $110,000 annually ($40.87 – $52.88 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
