Location: Wilmington, DE
We are seeking an experienced Cardiovascular Technologist to join a hospital-based cardiovascular care team supporting diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. This role requires precision, teamwork, and a strong commitment to patient care and safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically skilled, and passionate about contributing to high-quality cardiovascular services within a fast-paced procedural environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients and assist nursing staff with procedural setup to ensure safe and efficient care delivery.
- Support physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Operate imaging and monitoring equipment accurately to capture high-quality data and imaging.
- Maintain adherence to radiation safety, infection control, and hospital procedural protocols.
- Document all procedure details and patient information accurately in approved hospital systems.
- Assist with achieving hemostasis following procedures and ensure all post-procedure processes are followed.
- Ensure procedure rooms and equipment are properly maintained and ready for subsequent cases.
- Participate in continued education, training, and certification opportunities to enhance skills and maintain licensure.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to support optimal patient outcomes.
- Perform additional duties within the scope of the Cardiovascular Technologist role as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate Degree in Radiologic Sciences or Cardiovascular Technology from an accredited program.
- Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
- Medical Radiologic Technologist License (Delaware).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Minimum 18 months of experience in diagnostic radiology, cardiovascular technology, or an interventional lab setting.
- Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, imaging systems, and sterile technique.
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time, onsite position in Wilmington, Delaware.
- Standard day shift hours with rotating on-call responsibilities as required by department operations.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and assist with patient transfers.
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $74,000 – $95,500 a year ($36.00 – $46.00 per hour), based on experience.
