Location: Louisville, KY (Greater Metro Area)
We are seeking a Clinical Informatics Analyst to support clinical systems optimization and workflow improvement within a regional healthcare environment. This role is responsible for collaborating with clinical and technical teams to enhance EHR functionality, improve documentation workflows, and support system configuration initiatives that positively impact patient care and operational efficiency.
This position is ideal for someone with both healthcare and technical experience who enjoys solving workflow challenges, supporting clinical teams, and translating operational needs into effective system solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze clinical workflows and recommend EHR configuration improvements to support efficiency and documentation accuracy
- Design, build, and maintain clinical decision support tools, order sets, alerts, and documentation templates
- Serve as a liaison between clinical departments and IT teams during implementations, upgrades, and optimization efforts
- Conduct end-user training and develop educational materials related to clinical system functionality
- Troubleshoot EHR and workflow issues reported by clinical staff and coordinate resolution efforts with technical teams
- Review system utilization data to identify workflow gaps and opportunities for process improvement
- Support regulatory reporting initiatives including Meaningful Use, MIPS, and clinical quality reporting requirements
- Participate in governance committees to prioritize enhancement requests and workflow improvements
- Manage change requests through testing, validation, and implementation processes
- Collaborate with clinicians, operational leaders, and IT teams to improve adoption and usability of clinical systems
- Support documentation standardization and clinical workflow consistency across departments
- Maintain compliance with organizational policies, data governance standards, and healthcare regulations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Nursing, Health Information Management, or related field required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical informatics, EHR implementation, healthcare IT, or related analyst roles required
- Experience with Epic, Cerner, or other enterprise EHR platforms in an analyst, build, or support capacity required
- Clinical background or direct healthcare workflow experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare interoperability standards including HL7 and FHIR preferred
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Ability to translate clinical needs into technical requirements and workflow solutions
- Experience supporting healthcare end users in a clinical environment preferred
Schedule:
- Full-time, onsite position
- Standard business hours
- Standard full-time hours per pay period
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 – $88,000 annually ($33.65 – $42.31 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
