Job Description

Location: Mesa, AZ (Greater Phoenix Area)

We are seeking experienced Pharmacists to support both outpatient and inpatient/ER pharmacy services within a hospital-based environment. These roles are responsible for ensuring safe and accurate medication dispensing, providing patient counseling, and collaborating with clinical teams to support optimal therapeutic outcomes.

This position is ideal for pharmacists who are adaptable, clinically strong, and comfortable working across multiple care settings in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and compliance with applicable regulations
  • Dispense medications and provide patient counseling on proper use, side effects, and interactions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans
  • Manage controlled substances in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards
  • Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record systems
  • Monitor medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions or contraindications
  • Support clinical pharmacy programs and initiatives as applicable
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of medications
  • Assist with workflow efficiency across outpatient and inpatient pharmacy operations
  • Provide guidance and support to pharmacy staff, interns, and students when applicable
  • Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and institutional pharmacy regulations
  • Adapt to varying shifts and workload demands in a high-volume environment

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of Arizona preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required for inpatient/ER roles
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical applications
  • Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Schedule

  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and swing shifts
  • Four-day workweek with guaranteed full-time hours

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $115,000 – $140,000 annually ($55.00 – $67.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
