Location: Texas (Work From Home)
We are seeking a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician to support a growing pharmacy operations team. This fully remote position is ideal for a certified Pharmacy Technician with strong data entry skills, a high level of accuracy, and the ability to work independently in a tech-driven, virtual environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and capable of maintaining speed and precision under pressure. This role plays a key part in ensuring the accurate intake of prescriptions and supporting a seamless medication fulfillment process.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately enter prescription details into the pharmacy management system in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Review scanned prescription documents and verify medication, prescriber, patient, and insurance data
- Communicate with pharmacists and leads to resolve discrepancies or missing information
- Consistently meet productivity and quality benchmarks for prescription intake
- Maintain accurate records of all data entry activity to support internal audits and compliance reviews
- Identify and escalate potential issues, including prescription errors or insurance denials
- Follow HIPAA guidelines and adhere to strict data privacy and remote work protocols
- Participate in virtual team meetings, trainings, and process improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA preferred
- 1–2 years of pharmacy technician experience required, with prior data entry experience in retail, mail-order, or long-term care settings
- Proficiency in pharmacy software systems (e.g., QS/1, PioneerRx, FrameworkLTC, or similar)
- Typing speed of 50+ WPM with high accuracy
- Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, drug names, insurance billing, and HIPAA standards
- Excellent written communication and time management skills
- Reliable high-speed internet and a secure, distraction-free home office setup required
- Must be physically located in the state of Texas
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Full-time, Monday through Friday
- Day shift hours (standard business hours)
- Work from home — this is a 100% remote position

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $37,000 – $46,000 a year ($18.00 – $22.00 per hour), based on experience.

A virtual interview via Zoom with the direct hiring manager who oversees pharmacy operations. This step will explore your hands-on experience with dispensing processes, medication handling, and inventory management. You may be asked to share examples of how you’ve maintained accuracy in high-volume environments, navigated pharmacy systems, or supported compliance efforts in past roles.
