Location: Jersey City, NJ (Greater Newark Area)
We are seeking a Healthcare Sales Director to lead outreach, enrollment, and growth initiatives within a healthcare services environment. This role is responsible for driving market expansion, building high-value referral relationships, and overseeing enrollment operations to support sustained patient census growth.
This position will oversee a regional territory across Northern New Jersey, with ownership of key referral markets including hospital systems, physician networks, and post-acute providers. The Director will lead a team of outreach and enrollment professionals (approximately 5–10 team members) and be responsible for building a scalable, high-performing growth engine within the market.
This position reports to senior leadership within the organization’s growth or operations function and offers the opportunity to take ownership of a defined market, lead a team, and directly influence growth outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage outreach, marketing, and enrollment strategies to drive patient census growth across the assigned territory
- Develop and maintain referral relationships with healthcare providers, health systems, community organizations, and post-acute partners
- Oversee intake and enrollment processes, ensuring strong conversion rates and timely follow-up on referrals
- Monitor and report on key performance metrics, including pipeline activity, referral volume, and enrollments
- Utilize CRM systems (including Salesforce) to track performance, manage pipeline visibility, and support forecasting
- Guide and support a team of outreach and enrollment professionals, driving accountability to performance targets
- Develop strategies to improve market penetration within key service areas and referral networks
- Collaborate with internal leadership to align growth initiatives with operational capacity and service delivery
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations related to enrollment and patient services
- Manage departmental budget and align performance with financial targets
- Identify market opportunities and adjust strategies based on data and performance trends
- Support continuous improvement of outreach and enrollment processes
Success in this role will be measured by growth in patient census, referral volume, and overall pipeline performance within the assigned territory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of healthcare sales leadership experience
- Experience driving growth within healthcare services or community-based care models
- Experience managing territory-based sales teams and referral pipelines
- Strong knowledge of CRM systems, including Salesforce
- Proven ability to lead teams and achieve performance targets
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive decision-making
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations and enrollment processes preferred

- Full-time, onsite position

- Occasional travel within the local market
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $120,000 – $160,000 annually ($58.00 – $77.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
Additional Compensation & Performance Incentives:
This role is eligible for performance-based incentives tied to patient census growth, referral development, and enrollment outcomes. The incentive structure is designed to reward consistent market growth and team performance, with total compensation varying based on individual and team results.
