Job Description

Location: Coraopolis, PA (Hybrid – Remote & On-Site)
Employment Type: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our client’s healthcare team in Carnegie, PA. The Medical Biller will be responsible for managing the billing process for patient services, including generating and submitting claims, tracking payments, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical billing processes, strong organizational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, review, and submit medical claims accurately and efficiently to insurance companies and other payers.
  • Verify patient insurance coverage and ensure proper documentation before claim submission.
  • Identify and resolve claim discrepancies, including denials, coding errors, and missing information.
  • Monitor claim status and follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Process and post payments from insurance companies and patients, updating patient accounts accordingly.
  • Communicate with insurance providers to clarify billing issues and maximize claim approvals.
  • Generate reports related to billing activities, revenue cycle, and outstanding accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, insurance regulations, and industry billing standards.
  • Assist patients with billing inquiries, providing clear and professional support.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance billing processes and optimize efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting.
  • Proficiency in medical billing codes (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS) and insurance billing procedures.
  • Experience with medical billing software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in claim processing and patient account management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient-centered approach.
  • Ability to work independently while also being an effective team player.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $45,000 –  $55,000 a year ($23.00 – $27.00 per hour), based on experience. 

Interview Process:

  • Screening Call with TalentLNX.

  • Final Onsite Interview with the Billing Manager and or Revenue Cycle Manager.
