Job Description

Location: Carnegie, PA

We are seeking a licensed and detail-oriented Pharmacist on behalf of a respected healthcare organization in Carnegie, Pennsylvania. This full-time, on-site role plays a key part in supporting patient care by ensuring safe, accurate medication dispensing and providing expert guidance on therapy management. The ideal candidate brings a strong understanding of pharmaceutical best practices, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to regulatory compliance. Responsibilities:

  • Review and accurately dispense prescription medications in accordance with federal, state, and organizational regulations
  • Provide direct counseling to patients on proper medication use, dosage, potential side effects, and interactions
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to resolve medication-related inquiries and optimize therapeutic outcomes
  • Participate in medication therapy management (MTM) services to support adherence and chronic condition management
  • Ensure complete and accurate documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems and pharmacy software platforms
  • Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and pharmacy protocols, including inventory and recordkeeping standards
  • Stay informed on industry updates, new medications, and evolving best practices through continuing education
  • Contribute to policy and procedure development that enhances pharmacy operations, patient safety, and care coordination

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
  • Active and unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Minimum of 2 years of pharmacist experience in a retail, clinical, or hospital pharmacy setting
  • Strong knowledge of medication management, pharmaceutical regulations, and patient counseling techniques
  • Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) platforms and pharmacy dispensing systems
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced clinical environment
  • Strong interpersonal communication and collaboration skills with both patients and healthcare teams
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information in compliance with HIPAA standards

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000 a year ($48.00 – $58.00 per hour), based on experience.
