Job Description

Location: Carnegie, PA

We are seeking a detail-oriented and licensed Pharmacist to join our client’s healthcare team in Carnegie, PA. The Pharmacist will be responsible for accurately dispensing medications, providing patient counseling, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. This role is crucial in supporting patient care and ensuring that medications are managed and distributed safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical practices, medication management, and healthcare standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and dispense prescription medications to patients accurately and in accordance with healthcare regulations.
  • Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, potential side effects, and interactions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy and address any medication-related inquiries.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational standards for medication management and distribution.
  • Conduct medication reviews and participate in medication therapy management services to support patient outcomes.
  • Maintain and update patient records in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
  • Stay current on changes in pharmaceutical practices, healthcare regulations, and new medications.
  • Assist in developing and implementing pharmacy policies and procedures to enhance patient safety and care.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain licensure and improve pharmaceutical care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (PharmD preferred) from an accredited institution.
  • Active Pharmacist license in the state of Pennsylvania.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Pharmacist in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical practices, medication management, and healthcare regulations.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and pharmacy management software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain patient confidentiality.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $100,000 – $120,000 a year ($48.00 – $58.00 per hour), based on experience.

  • Final Onsite Interview with the Senior Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacy Director.
