Location: Austin, Texas
We are seeking a Receiving Pharmacy Technician to join a well-established long-term care pharmacy serving skilled nursing and assisted living facilities across Central Texas. Based in Austin, this on-site role is ideal for a licensed pharmacy technician with strong organizational skills and a detail-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will take ownership of inventory receiving, medication tracking, and supply flow, helping the pharmacy run smoothly and efficiently behind the scene
Responsibilities:
- Receive inbound medication and supply shipments and enter product information into the pharmacy management system
- Maintain inventory accuracy through regular stock checks, rotation, and restocking
- Track and manage stock levels, placing replenishment orders as needed
- Remove and document expired, damaged, or recalled items
- Ensure all medications and supplies are stored in compliance with pharmacy and regulatory standards
- Accurately enter medication and inventory data into Framework/ECM or similar systems
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant storage area
- Work closely with pharmacists and technicians to support pharmacy operations and delivery timelines
- Take on additional tasks as assigned by pharmacy leadership
Qualifications:
- Active Texas Pharmacy Technician License (required)
- Experience in long-term care, retail, or institutional pharmacy settings preferred
- Prior experience with pharmacy receiving, inventory, or purchasing strongly preferred
- Familiarity with FrameworkLTC or ECM software is a plus
- Able to lift and move boxes weighing up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
- Organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a team environment
Schedule & Work Environment:
- This is a full-time, on-site role based at the pharmacy’s Austin, TX location
- Schedule is Monday through Friday during daytime hours
- You’ll work in a clean, regulated environment where accuracy and compliance are essential
- The operations team is tight-knit and collaborative, with a strong focus on reliability and teamwork
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $38,000 – $46,000 a year ($18.00 – $22.00 per hour), based on experience.
