Job Description

Location: Columbia, SC (Greater Midlands Area)

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to support patient care within a hospital-based imaging and diagnostic environment. This role is responsible for delivering safe, high-quality nursing care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures while collaborating closely with interdisciplinary teams.

This position is ideal for a nurse who values clinical precision, patient safety, and teamwork, and is looking to grow within a structured hospital setting that emphasizes quality care and professional development.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct patient care during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Develop and document individualized plans of care within established timeframes
  • Perform clinical interventions accurately and efficiently while demonstrating competency across patient populations
  • Verify physician orders for accuracy, including medications, procedures, and required documentation
  • Ensure all pre-procedure requirements are completed, including consent forms and necessary clinical data
  • Administer medications and IV therapies in accordance with established protocols
  • Monitor patients for medication responses and identify adverse reactions when applicable
  • Interpret clinical and diagnostic information and communicate critical findings to providers
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies related to medication administration and patient identification
  • Collaborate with physicians, imaging staff, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care
  • Support patient education and provide clear communication regarding procedures and care plans
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and patient safety practices

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree in Nursing required
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina or compact state required
  • Must obtain or maintain multi-state licensure if applicable within required timeframe
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within first week of employment
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required during orientation for applicable units
  • Clinical experience considered based on candidate background; new graduates considered
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) certification preferred
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and patient care skills

Schedule

  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Day or rotating shifts based on department needs
  • No travel required

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $70,000 – $95,000 annually ($34.00 – $46.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
