Location: Orlando, FL (On-site)
We are seeking a Respiratory Therapist to deliver respiratory care across the ICU, emergency department, and inpatient floors for an acute care hospital system. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based onsite in Orlando, FL. The role manages mechanical and non-invasive ventilation, responds to rapid response and code events, and provides airway support, treatments, and patient education across a range of acute care settings.
This role is well aligned for an experienced respiratory therapist who thrives at the bedside in a fast moving clinical environment and enjoys being central to critical care response. The ideal candidate brings strong ventilator management skills, stays calm and focused during emergencies, and works closely with physicians, nurses, and care teams to deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, chest physiotherapy, and other respiratory treatments per physician orders
- Manage mechanical ventilation, including initial setup, monitoring, weaning protocols, and alarm troubleshooting
- Perform arterial blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation with appropriate clinical recommendations
- Respond to rapid response and code blue events, providing airway management and resuscitation support
- Conduct patient assessments, including auscultation, vital signs, and pulmonary function testing
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care teams on respiratory care plans and discharge planning
- Educate patients and families on inhaler technique, home oxygen use, and respiratory disease management
- Maintain respiratory equipment, including cleaning, calibration, and readiness checks across all clinical areas
- Support non-invasive ventilation management, including BiPAP and CPAP initiation and monitoring
Qualifications:
- Associate degree in Respiratory Therapy required; bachelor’s degree preferred
- Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential through the NBRC required
- Current Florida respiratory care practitioner license required
- BLS and ACLS certifications required; NPS and PALS preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital-based respiratory therapy experience, including ICU and emergency department
- Experience with mechanical ventilators such as Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Hamilton, as well as non-invasive ventilation

- Onsite in Orlando, FL
- Rotating shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $64,000 – $88,000 annually ($30.77 – $42.31 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
