Location: Mesa, AZ (Greater Phoenix Area)
We are seeking an RN Risk and Compliance Manager to lead risk management and compliance initiatives within a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for overseeing patient safety programs, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement efforts to reduce organizational risk and support high-quality care.
This position is ideal for a clinically experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in compliance and risk management who can drive process improvements, lead investigations, and support a culture of safety across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the organization’s risk management and compliance programs
- Monitor risk and compliance issues and conduct detailed analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
- Develop and maintain compliance plans and evaluate program effectiveness
- Coordinate efforts across departments to reduce risk to patients, staff, and the organization
- Conduct investigations into incidents and participate in root cause analysis processes
- Support development and implementation of corrective action and prevention strategies
- Facilitate performance improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to risk management and compliance
- Provide education and training to staff on compliance and risk management processes
- Utilize data and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making and safety initiatives
- Support risk assessments, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and related evaluations
- Promote a culture of reporting and continuous improvement across the organization
- Ensure confidentiality and regulatory compliance across all risk management activities
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona required
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in performance improvement, compliance, or risk management required
- Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred or required within one year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and patient safety practices
- Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills
Schedule
- Full-time, onsite position
- Standard business hours
- Occasional flexibility required based on operational needs
Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $100,000 – $130,000 annually ($48.00 – $62.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
