RN Risk and Compliance Manager

Job Description

Location: Mesa, AZ (Greater Phoenix Area)

We are seeking an RN Risk and Compliance Manager to lead risk management and compliance initiatives within a healthcare setting. This role is responsible for overseeing patient safety programs, regulatory compliance, and performance improvement efforts to reduce organizational risk and support high-quality care.

This position is ideal for a clinically experienced Registered Nurse with a strong background in compliance and risk management who can drive process improvements, lead investigations, and support a culture of safety across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the organization’s risk management and compliance programs
• Monitor risk and compliance issues and conduct detailed analysis to identify trends and areas for improvement
• Develop and maintain compliance plans and evaluate program effectiveness
• Coordinate efforts across departments to reduce risk to patients, staff, and the organization
• Conduct investigations into incidents and participate in root cause analysis processes
• Support development and implementation of corrective action and prevention strategies
• Facilitate performance improvement initiatives and patient safety programs
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to risk management and compliance
• Provide education and training to staff on compliance and risk management processes
• Utilize data and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making and safety initiatives
• Support risk assessments, failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA), and related evaluations
• Promote a culture of reporting and continuous improvement across the organization
• Ensure confidentiality and regulatory compliance across all risk management activities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or related field required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Arizona required
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience required
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in performance improvement, compliance, or risk management required
• Certification in Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management (CPHRM) preferred or required within one year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and patient safety practices
• Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills

Schedule

• Full-time, onsite position
• Standard business hours
• Occasional flexibility required based on operational needs

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $100,000 – $130,000 annually ($48.00 – $62.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
