Job Description

Location: Texas (Remote)

We are seeking a licensed and experienced Telehealth Pharmacist to join a leading virtual care organization providing high-quality pharmaceutical services to patients across Texas. This fully remote position requires strong clinical judgment, attention to regulatory compliance, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals in a virtual setting. The ideal candidate is licensed in Texas and brings a high level of professionalism, accuracy, and patient care commitment to a growing Telehealth environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and clinical appropriateness.
  • Conduct virtual medication counseling sessions to ensure patient understanding of proper usage, side effects, storage, and adherence.
  • Support prescribers and care teams with timely pharmaceutical recommendations during telehealth consultations.
  • Oversee and support virtual prescription processing in collaboration with pharmacy technicians and fulfillment partners.
  • Monitor and document controlled substances in accordance with North Carolina Board of Pharmacy and DEA regulations.
  • Provide Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services to eligible patients.
  • Assist patients in understanding immunization schedules and connecting with local administration sites as appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records using pharmacy software and electronic medical records (EMR) platforms.
  • Stay current on telepharmacy standards, Texas pharmacy law, formulary changes, and relevant clinical updates.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacist License in good standing.
  • Minimum of 1–3 years of experience in retail or clinical pharmacy preferred. New graduates with strong internship experience will be considered.
  • Immunization certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
  • Proficiency in digital tools and virtual care platforms, including EMRs and pharmacy management systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor suitable for remote patient interactions.
  • Strong organizational and documentation skills, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Remote position with a required Texas license to support patients within the state.
  • Full-time schedule (40+ hours per week), including rotating evening and weekend availability as needed.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection and HIPAA-compliant home workspace required.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $120,000 – $140,000 a year ($57.00 – $67.00 per hour), based on experience.
