Job Description
Location: Las Vegas, NV (Greater Metro Area)
We are seeking experienced Pharmacists to support both outpatient and inpatient/ER pharmacy services within a hospital-based environment. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based in the greater Las Vegas, NV metro area.
This role is best aligned for a clinically strong pharmacist who is comfortable moving between care settings in a high-volume environment. You will verify and dispense across outpatient and inpatient workflows, counsel patients directly, monitor therapy for interactions and contraindications, and partner with physicians and nursing on care plans. The ideal candidate adapts quickly across service lines and brings the judgment to catch what a busy workflow might otherwise miss.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify prescriptions to ensure accuracy, safety, and regulatory compliance
- Dispense medications and provide patient counseling on proper use, side effects, and interactions
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to support patient care plans
- Manage controlled substances in accordance with regulatory and compliance standards
- Monitor medication therapy and identify potential drug interactions or contraindications
- Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health record systems
- Support clinical pharmacy programs and quality initiatives
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and inventory control of medications
- Support workflow efficiency across outpatient and inpatient pharmacy operations
- Provide guidance to pharmacy technicians, interns, and students
- Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and institutional pharmacy regulations
- Respond to code and emergency medication needs in the inpatient and ER setting
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required
- Active pharmacist license in the state of Nevada required, or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start
- Minimum of 2 years of hospital or clinical pharmacy experience preferred
- Basic Life Support certification required
- ACLS and PALS certification required for inpatient and ER assignments
- Strong working knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and clinical applications
- Excellent communication and patient counseling skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Schedule
- Full-time, on-site position
- Variable shifts including days, nights, weekends, and swing shifts
- Four-day workweek with guaranteed full-time hours
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is approximately $130,000 – $155,000 annually ($62.50 – $74.52 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
