Location: Pittsburgh, PA (Hybrid)

We are seeking a Clinical Program Manager, Specialty Pharmacy to design, lead, and continuously improve the clinical programs that support patients on specialty and limited distribution therapies. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based in Pittsburgh, PA. The role combines clinical expertise, program design, and performance measurement to help patients start therapy quickly and stay on it with confidence.

This role is well aligned for an experienced specialty pharmacist who enjoys full ownership of a program from concept through results. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical judgment, builds practical workflows alongside the pharmacy team, and communicates program outcomes clearly to both internal leadership and manufacturer partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage clinical programs for specialty therapies, including adherence, persistence, and side effect management
  • Establish program eligibility criteria, intervention triggers, and clinical touchpoint schedules for each therapeutic class
  • Develop and maintain clinical protocols and pharmacist counseling guides for limited distribution products
  • Monitor program performance against adherence, time to fill, and patient retention goals
  • Partner with manufacturer and hub program teams on reporting requirements and service level commitments
  • Collaborate with benefits investigation and prior authorization teams to accelerate the path from referral to first fill
  • Analyze patient engagement trends and refine interventions to strengthen program outcomes
  • Lead clinical onboarding and ongoing competency training for pharmacists and technicians supporting each program
  • Serve as the clinical escalation point for complex cases involving therapy changes, adverse events, or access needs
  • Prepare program performance reporting for internal leadership and external partners
  • Support accreditation readiness, including URAC and ACHC clinical program documentation
  • Work with quality and compliance teams on program documentation, audit response, and corrective action plans

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an accredited program
  • Active, unrestricted Pennsylvania pharmacist license, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Minimum of 5 years of specialty pharmacy, hub services, or manufacturer program experience
  • Proven experience designing and managing a clinical program end to end
  • Working knowledge of limited distribution networks, hub services, and payer access pathways
  • Familiarity with URAC or ACHC specialty pharmacy accreditation standards
  • Confidence working with program performance data and presenting insights to leadership
  • Strong written communication and protocol documentation skills

Schedule:

  • Full-time position
  • Hybrid schedule based in Pittsburgh, PA
  • Monday through Friday, standard business hours (Eastern Time)
  • 40 hours per week

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $135,000 – $155,000 annually ($64.90 – $74.52 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
