Job Description

Location: Tampa, FL

We are seeking an experienced, mission-driven Hospital Administrator to lead operational and administrative functions at a healthcare facility in Tampa, Florida. This role is ideal for a seasoned healthcare leader who thrives on driving results, optimizing patient services, and managing diverse teams across clinical and non-clinical departments. The right candidate will bring a balanced blend of strategic thinking, regulatory knowledge, and people-first leadership to ensure the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the hospital, including clinical services, patient care, budgeting, HR, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure quality standards, patient safety, and operational excellence.
  • Develop and manage the hospital’s annual budget, aligning financial planning with service delivery goals.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including healthcare laws and accreditation requirements (e.g., Joint Commission).
  • Lead strategic initiatives to improve patient experience, operational efficiency, and revenue cycle performance.
  • Serve as a liaison between the hospital, community, board of directors, and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor and evaluate staff performance, foster professional development, and support workforce engagement.
  • Oversee patient satisfaction programs and implement data-driven improvements across service lines.
  • Coordinate with medical staff to implement policies, procedures, and quality initiatives aligned with the hospital’s mission and vision.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business, or a related field required; Master’s in Healthcare Administration (MHA), MBA, or related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive leadership experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Deep understanding of hospital operations, healthcare regulations, and accreditation standards.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Proven track record of financial stewardship and operational efficiency.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive organization-wide initiatives.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and hospital management systems.

Schedule & Work Environment:

  • Full-time, onsite
  • Monday – Friday, with occasional evening or weekend responsibilities based on operational needs

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is $100,000 –  $130,000 a year ($48.00 – $63.00 per hour)
