Job Description
Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)
We are seeking a licensed Specialty Pharmacist to support a hybrid pharmacy operation based in Dallas, Texas. This role combines onsite clinical oversight with remote verification and workflow collaboration. The pharmacist will be responsible for reviewing complex medication therapies, supporting payer coordination, and ensuring regulatory compliance across specialty pharmacy operations.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, understands specialty medication workflows, and is comfortable navigating prior authorizations, high-cost therapies, and payer requirements. You are detail-oriented, proactive in communication, and confident managing both in-office and remote responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify specialty medication orders for dosing accuracy, interactions, and clinical appropriateness
- Ensure prescriptions are processed and dispensed in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Provide consultation to prescribers and internal clinical teams regarding therapy optimization
- Support prior authorization review and payer coordination processes
- Oversee technician workflow and provide guidance on complex cases
- Investigate and resolve medication-related inquiries or discrepancies
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient medication records
- Contribute to quality assurance and compliance initiatives
- Support operational performance and process improvement efforts
Qualifications:
- Active and unrestricted Texas Pharmacist license required
- Previous specialty pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of complex and high-cost medication therapies
- Familiarity with payer requirements and prior authorization workflows
- Excellent analytical and clinical reasoning skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Comfortable working independently in a hybrid environment
- Proficiency with pharmacy management and documentation systems
Schedule & Work Environment:
- Hybrid work model (combination of onsite and remote work)
- Full-time schedule
- Standard weekday business hours between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM CST
Salary Range:
The salary range for this position is $95,000 – $125,000 annually (approximately $45.67 – $60.10 per hour), based on experience.
Interview Process:
