Job Description

Location: Dover, DE (Greater Central Delaware Area)

We are seeking an Oncology Clinical Pharmacist to support oncology pharmacy services across both inpatient and outpatient care settings. This role is responsible for collaborating with oncology providers, optimizing treatment plans, and ensuring safe, evidence-based medication use for cancer patients.

This position is ideal for a clinically advanced pharmacist with oncology expertise who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about improving patient outcomes through specialized pharmacy care.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with oncology providers to support and optimize chemotherapy and supportive care regimens
  • Review and manage oncology treatment plans within electronic health record systems
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds with physicians, advanced practice providers, and care teams
  • Provide patient education on oncology medications, treatment expectations, and side effect management
  • Identify and resolve medication-related issues to ensure safe and effective therapy
  • Monitor patient responses to treatment and recommend adjustments as appropriate
  • Support adherence to national oncology treatment guidelines and protocols
  • Serve as a clinical resource for pharmacy and healthcare staff
  • Participate in training and mentorship of pharmacy residents, students, and staff
  • Promote safe, cost-effective medication use within oncology services
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety standards related to oncology pharmacy
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve clinical outcomes and patient care processes

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) required
  • Active Pharmacist license required in the state of Delaware
  • Board Certified Oncology Pharmacist (BCOP) required
  • PGY-1 residency with relevant oncology experience or PGY-2 Oncology residency preferred
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of oncology or clinical pharmacy experience required
  • Strong knowledge of oncology treatment guidelines and protocols
  • Experience working within electronic health record systems
  • Strong clinical judgment, communication, and collaboration skills

Schedule

  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Day shift schedule
  • Standard full-time hours per pay period

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $140,000 – $180,000 annually ($67.00 – $86.00 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
