Job Description

Location: Savannah, GA (Greater Metro Area)

We are seeking an Ambulatory Care Nursing Supervisor to oversee clinical nursing operations across outpatient clinic locations. This role is responsible for supporting nursing staff, coordinating clinical workflows, maintaining compliance with care standards, and helping ensure patients receive a positive and well-organized experience during each visit.

This position is ideal for an experienced nurse leader who is comfortable balancing team supervision, hands-on clinical support, workflow improvement, and collaboration with physicians and practice leadership.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and support RNs, LPNs, medical assistants, and other clinical support staff across ambulatory clinic locations
  • Oversee daily clinical workflows including patient flow, triage, medication administration, and documentation practices
  • Support development and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and competency standards
  • Manage staff scheduling, performance feedback, coaching, and professional development planning
  • Partner with physicians and practice leaders on patient satisfaction, quality improvement, and operational initiatives
  • Monitor compliance with OSHA, CLIA, state nursing requirements, and internal clinical standards
  • Serve as a clinical resource for escalated patient concerns and complex care situations
  • Support ambulatory care improvement initiatives, including patient-centered care models and value-based care readiness
  • Conduct competency assessments and skills validation for nursing and clinical support staff
  • Manage vaccine inventory, cold chain requirements, and immunization program workflows
  • Assist with recruitment, onboarding, and credentialing support for new clinical staff
  • Review patient complaints, clinical concerns, and incidents while supporting corrective action plans
  • Track clinical quality measures, preventive care gaps, and chronic disease management indicators
  • Support EHR workflow improvements related to ambulatory nursing documentation and clinic operations

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience required
  • Minimum of 2 years of ambulatory, outpatient, or clinic-based nursing experience preferred
  • Prior supervisory, charge nurse, or nursing leadership experience required
  • Knowledge of ambulatory care workflows, quality measures, and chronic disease management protocols
  • Experience with ambulatory EHR systems such as Epic Ambulatory, athenahealth, or similar platforms preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, conflict resolution, and team development skills
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional clinical certifications preferred

Schedule:

  • Full-time, onsite position
  • Standard business hours

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $72,000 – $88,000 annually ($34.62 – $42.31 per hour), based on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidates.
