Job Description

Location: Remote (US-based)

We are hiring for a Revenue Cycle Manager, Patient Access with a large health system managing high-volume patient access operations across multiple acute and ambulatory facilities. This position is a full-time, direct hire opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations for registration, insurance verification, prior authorization, and financial counseling teams
  • Monitor and manage departmental KPIs including clean-claim rate, authorization turnaround time, and point-of-service collections
  • Identify root causes of denials and implement front-end corrections to reduce downstream claim failure
  • Develop and maintain staff training programs for registration standards and payer requirements
  • Partner with billing, coding, and clinical teams to resolve upstream revenue cycle issues
  • Manage staffing levels, schedules, and performance reviews for a team of 15 or more
  • Oversee payer credentialing support and maintain accurate provider enrollment data
  • Produce weekly and monthly operational reports for finance and revenue cycle leadership
  • Implement and optimize patient access workflows within Epic, Cerner, or comparable HIS

Qualifications

  • Minimum five years of progressive revenue cycle experience with at least two in a supervisory or management role
  • Deep knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization, and patient registration workflows
  • Familiarity with commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid payer requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze denial trends and design corrective front-end processes
  • Experience managing a distributed team of 10 or more patient access staff
  • Proficiency with Epic, Cerner, or comparable HIS; reporting tools a plus
  • Bachelor degree in healthcare administration, business, or related field preferred

Schedule

Fully remote within the US, with preference for candidates in North Carolina, Virginia, or nearby Mid-Atlantic states. Standard business hours with availability for occasional multi-facility coordination.

Salary Range: The salary range for this position is approximately $75,000 – $100,000 annually ($36.06 – $48.08 per hour), based on experience and qualifications.
